Disney World Character Meet: Edna Mode

Edna Mode is fabulous!

Right now, through the end of September, you can meet Edna Mode in Hollywood Studios in the Municiberg area near Toy Story Land. This temporary celebration area opened in January 2019 and is scheduled to close in September, but I love it so much and hope they make it more permanent!

Edna's waits hover around 20 minutes, so don't miss her! You also get to see a bunch of her designs and the streetmosphere is fun!

Disney Tip: Souvenir Shopping

The worst part about souvenir shopping is lugging the bags around all day, trying to keep things from getting broken or lost.

And Disney even found a way to fix that problem! When you check out, you can request that your items be sent either to the front of the park or to your Walt Disney World resort. There are specific time frames that are required for this service, so make sure to ask at the cash register to make sure it is available.

Disney World Character Meet: Anna

Anna and Elsa have been very popular characters since they were introduced in the parks. We met them in 2015 when they were still at Princess Fairytale Hall in Magic Kingdom.

Now, you can meet them at Epcot in the Norway pavilion at the Royal Summerhaus, which is an adorable themed meet and greet for them.

There is no Fast Pass, but the lines usually hover around 20-30 minutes for their meet.

Disney World Character Meet: Cinderella

Cinderella is so sweet and it was fun to meet her again on our last trip! This time, I got to meet her at 1900 Park Fare, which is a table service (buffet) restaurant at the Grand Floridian in Walt Disney World. You also get to meet Prince Charming, Lady Tremaine, Drizella and Anastasia at this dinner!

Make sure to try the strawberry soup!

Disney Tips and Tricks: Arrive Early

I know. You are on vacation, so you want to sleep in. But I promise you...getting up early is the best thing for you. To get the most done before the crowds arrive, you should arrive about 45 minutes before the park opens. This will even allow you to take a break after lunch...which is also known as the hottest, busiest part of the day. You can take a nap or swim while other people are standing in hot, crowded lines.

Then, when everyone else is wearily leaving the park in the evening, you will be rested and rejuvenated for a few hours in the cool (er) evening air!

Disney World Character Meet: Baymax

Meeting Baymax is so cute! We watched the movie just a few weeks before our trip and my husband loved it! So, of course, we had to meet Baymax. If he is important, go early or during meal times. His line also closes early, so make sure to check the Times Guide.

Currently, you can meet Baymax in Epcot at the Character Spot in Future World across from Mickey and adjoining to Joy and Sadness.

Disney Tip: Additional FastPass+s

A little known trick to touring at Walt Disney World is that after you use the 3 fast passes you are allotted in a day, you can check to see if there are any additional reservations available.

After you check in for your final FastPass, log into the My Disney Experience app and search for a new FastPass+...it can even be in a different park!

Additional FastPasses are subject to availability, but they can really save you time if its busy.
